Job Description
As our new Stock Controller, you will oversee and manage our inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. This role involves regular stock assessments, reconciling physical counts with system records, and implementing control procedures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. You will collaborate with various departments to understand stock requirements, ensure timely processing of purchase orders, and manage order fulfilment to guarantee on-time deliveries. Accurate and up-to-date record-keeping using inventory management software is essential, and you will generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics for management review. Quality control is also a key aspect, requiring periodic checks on incoming and outgoing stock to ensure compliance with standards and reporting any discrepancies. Effective communication and coordination with suppliers and internal teams are crucial for managing stock replenishment and resolving supply chain issues. Additionally, you will analyze stock management processes, recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory management.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse polices and procedure
- Must be a solution focused, problem solver with a pragmatic approach.
- Ability to work across functional teams to work towards a common goal.
- Experience with Medicinal Cannabis is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions.
